Interviewing... Re-Planning

Since I'm in the process of interviewing for a new job, I'm unsure if they will allow a leave (sabbatical) so soon to a hire date for my trans-Canada trip -- so until I know where things stand with work offers, I can not plan much more than weekends at this time.

I've re-posted Where's Chaz today, with modifications in 2011 that restrict most of my travel to weekends... For example:

- Visiting Dave & Mark in Deerfield, NH has been reduced to a weekend.
- My Trans-Canada Trip has been deleted, pending schedule information.
- Seattle, WA is now only a long weekend.
- Various other weekday activities have been removed.

I have several interviews lined up until I depart for Rochester for the holidays on the 20th. I'm really hoping that the positions are as nice as I've been led to believe, unlike my last position with IBM where they avoided telling me that it was 12-hour overnight shifts, every weekend (until it was too late). Six months of that really damaged my head, health and relationships with friends and family. Don't get me wrong, I'll "pay my dues" and work on-call, after-hours and weekends as needed -- but every weekend and every holiday?

Tonight is our annual fund-raising holiday bingo party for NY Bear Den at Pieces Bar, 8 Christopher St, NYC from 8pm-10pm. If you're in the area, please consider coming. In addition to bingo, we're asking people to bring any unneeded, gently used clothing as a donation to Sylyia's Place.

And the people who wouldn't flex their schedules a bit to allow you a weekend off are now going to have to cover your shift over the holidays........*grins*

I am so looking forward to seeing you over the holidays. Hugs and Tugs.
