I've grown tired waiting for Alex to let me know when he wants to visit Scotland with me (I've been waiting nearly four years) -- so along with a regular London trip, I'm also going to Edinburgh, Scotland!
A note about some of my upcoming travels: I will be working whilst travelling for some of these trips! Look closely at my detailed schedule if you want to get together and hang -- my working and sleeping hours are in there to aid in figuring our my free time.
Do you really think that I think it's really all about me?
It was recently brought to my attention that some people consider my online calendars (Where's Chaz), my blog and websites to be nothing more than self-serving narcissism. (Narcissism is the personality trait of egotism denoting vanity, conceit, or simple selfishness. Applied to a social group, it is sometimes used to denote elitism or an indifference to the plight of others.) To which, I reply: Oh yeah?, What of it? ... I'm joking!!
Anyone that's actually taken the time to get to know me as a person has learned that 'Where's Chaz' is most important to me -- so I know what I'm doing from day to day! As with most interesting people, I have my share of disorders; however, narcissistic personality disorder isn't one of them.
My calendars, blogs, photos, thoughts and such are online to share my experiences, beliefs and plans with others in order to probe for responses, suggestions and perhaps companionship -- nothing more.
I was one of the early-adapters to 'digital life', starting in 1977 I was online at 300 BAUD and an acoustic modem. I have and continue to embrace technology. I feel it allows greater life collaboration (although others consider such collaboration an invasion of privacy or "T.M.I."). So, if you perceive any malevolent or narcissistic motivation for my vast online presence, that's your problem, not mine...
