Keep Walking

My life is a hellstorm

My life has been tossed into a blender once again... What else is new?

I have been balancing so much travel, work and personal issues it has made me completely dizzy about everything going on in my life. If not for my calendars, I wouldn't know if I was coming or going. I've been barely able to keep myself living in the present, let alone planning for future events.

Just when I think I can come up for some air (although not completely unexpected), my room-mate of five years tells me he's moving out the 28th of June so he can live closer to where his new job is.

So, once again, I find myself at a bizarre crossroads in my life. Should I stay or should I go?

I have a lovely condo in a quiet, mostly professional neighbourhood, yet just walking distance to the Boston Subway (Quincy Centre MBTA red line station) and close enough to two major U.S. cities (Boston and New York) making air travel somewhat cheap and competitive. Add to this mix that I have a wonderful boyfriend who's busy making his own plans to own and run a farm in his retirement in about a year. He does not want to leave this area.

Do I really want to pay for a beautiful condo that I'm only living in part-time? If I do, I'll need a new room-mate to help offset the expense. Also, as Dennis owns virtually all of the furnature and art throughout the home (with the exception of my bedroom and the dining room), if I stay here, I'll need to buy furniture (which is yet another anchor holding me down to this region of the world).

If I don't find a new room-mate by mid-July, I'm probably going to plan to move out of the Boston area to somewhere cheaper and warmer. Of course, there are other factors, such as: The ever-increasing costs of living where there is a cold winter season. Of course another consideration is the issue remaining in the United States where the next soul-less leader of this land is most likely to be the Bush-clone "McCain"? I will really want to leave this country if McCain gets in -- I simply can't live through another eight years of republican rule.

Well, if anyone is even remotely interested in checking out my condo, the classified ad is on Craig's List at: (the link is only valid for 7 days). Until then, I'll continue my life as normal as can be...

E.C.M.C. Biker's Picnic 2002 (above)

Quick catch-up: CanAm weekend was great, IML/Bear Pride Chicago was fun, and it's off to New York City this weekend for the Empire City Motorcycle Club's Bike Christening and Biker's Picnic!

If I have plans with you, please call me or e-mail me to confirm them. I'm still quite dizzy from all the non-stop travel.
