Keep Walking

Fahrenheit 9/11

I went to see "Fahrenheit 9/11" last night in Randolph. The synopsis of this movie says:

"Michael Moore's latest documentary traces why the U.S. has become a target for hatred and terrorism. It will also depict alleged dealings between two generations of the Bush and bin Laden clans that led to George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden becoming mortal enemies."

For someone like myself, who has been following the liberal left for some time now, nothing in the movie was much of a surprise -- in fact, I'm a bit surprised that some things were left out! Regardless, the movie was good, and was a sell-out in Boston at almost every theatre up until the 23h30 (11:30pm) shows.

Tonight Derek and I will be going to Hartford, CT for a show* at Chez Est, formerly The Hartford Eagle. The Hartford Eagle, once a leather bar, the leather left with the name change. It's now your average gay (twink/drag queen) bar. See for yourself: The Hartford Eagle vs. Chez Est. Big difference, eh? Call me old school, but I still miss the Bachelor Forum on Main Street, The NYC Eagle and Spike on West Side Hwy, and all of the other leather bars where twinks feared to tread.

I've been a bit of a recluse the past few weeks, mostly due to work, but also due to the fact that I'm not in a social mood at all. I'd rather play with my computer and the SIMS. If they piss me off, I can turn off the computer!

* BUCKLE UP: Chez Est and Headliners & Legends present BUCKLE UP, starring Verna Turbulence and Corvette. Also appearing are Jezebel, Cassandra Fiore, Jazzmine Taylor, Damiana Laroux and Morgana Deluxe.
