Keep Walking

Boston Gay Pride Week

On Thursday, June 10th, the Imperial Court went to the Boston Gay Men's Chorus for their "British Invasion" show, featuring songs by Elton John and Queen. It was quite good, considering I'm not a huge chorus fan...

On Friday, Derek and I went to see the remake movie of The Stepford Wifes. Some cute new twists were added to this classic 70s flick! It was worth the admission price!

Saturday was the Boston Pride Parade -- Derek (as Corvette) and I, on my motorcycle, were in the first group in the parade, the East Coast Biker Chicks. Why were we in the parade with a lesbian group? There was no reply from the "Boston Riders", the male biker group, when we asked what was needed to ride with them... as usual. They don't seem to ever get back to folks. The womyn replied right away and welcomed Derek and I, as well as a patch-holder from the Boston Riders, who couldn't find his group in the parade [although they were there, just about in the middle of the parade...]

Saturday afternoon, at about 3pm, I had to go home to sleep, for I was going to be working overnight on some servers... And work I did -- from midnight until 9:30am. Then I got to sleep some more... Yuck, what a waste of a beautiful Sunday!!

Did al-Qaida trainee warn FBI before 9/11? [NBC News] LONDON - More than a year before 9/11, a Pakistani-British man told the FBI an incredible tale: that he had been trained by bin Laden’s followers to hijack airplanes and was now in America to carry out an attack. The FBI questioned him for weeks, but then let him go home, and never followed up. Now, the former al-Qaida insider is talking.

Man charged after cat killed in microwave. Auckland SPCA senior inspector Bruce Wills said the allegation was that a man had been at the cat owner's house drinking and placed the two-year-old ginger and white female cat in the microwave. The owner, who was in bed at the time, heard screeching noises from the kitchen. She went to investigate and found her cat in the microwave.

"Fyooosh!" So long, Lake Chesterfield Recent heavy rain may have washed Lake Chesterfield down the drain. A sinkhole at the bottom of the 23-acre lake in Wildwood swallowed millions of gallons of water in a few days this week. The sinkhole "was just like a ticking time bomb," said geologist Dave Taylor. "It held for all this time, and finally it broke loose."
