Keep Walking

The Show Must Go On!

Well, I spent most of the weekend recuperating from whatever this cold was. On Sunday morning I brought homemade Quiche over to Derek's for brunch and then we spent the rest of afternoon gathering the last of what was needed for the MassEquality benefit show at Jacque's.

Curtain up, spotlight on! Derek and I performed Tom Lehrer's "The Masochism Tango" as the opening number -- and I performed a solo number as Garth Brooks for his hit "We Shall Be Free" -- in order to look just like Garth (photo on the left), in between numbers I shaved off my beard and moustache down to stubble! I seemed to get a very good response from the crowd!! People were hootin & hollerin! Not bad for my first stage performance other than karaoke. The biggest difference? I was dressed up as the singer, and I interacted with the crowd, rather than just standing on a stage.

We raised quite a bit of money for MassEquality, which was the point of the whole show to begin with! We should have a grand total next week when the ICMA Treasurer gives his report... The court went out for dinner after the show. It was a fun evening for all of us.

Motorcycle Madness!

Oh yeah -- I forgot to mention...

My Motorcycle is out of the garage and on the road for the 2004 riding season! My 1984 Yamaha Virago is 20 years old this year, and although many parts of it have been replaced, it still occupies the same space as the original!
