Keep Walking

(no subject)

It's been a busy work-week; hard to believe that tomorrow is Friday!! Tuesday I went to the Ramrod (as usual), and a good group showed up! It's starting to get a little chilly at night; the bike ride home was comfortable, but cool. Winter's coming...

I got a lot of comments baout the "badger, badger, badger" site! (All were positive!) So, here's a cute cartoon for you all:

Wednesday I went to court and got three parking tickets that a nasty state policeman wrote reversed!! It's nice when the law works for the little guy! (When I first moved here, I couldn't register the car in my name, as there was still a lein on it in John's name!, the car remained parked 99% of the time [I ride the bike most of the time in the summer!], and since it was on a street without restricted parking, and with New York licence plates, the cop proceeded to write three bogus tickets, and threatened to have the car towed!) Just another friendly Bostonian! I was happy to get all three of them discharged without any fee or fine.

I found out that I will be going to SunGard in Philadelphia, PA again this year (October 29th through November 2nd) for another mock disaster recovery test. I went in early October in 2002 and although the recovery itself is brutal (30+ hours awake in a row), the weekend afterwards is nice! I like going to The Bike Stop bar there -- always friendly folks (some I even know!) So, this is your warning Philladelphia, I return soon!

I went to bowling last night (Wednesday) for the Beantown Bowling League, and was assigned to a team! The "Pin Heads" ;-) That's cool! But, I couldn't bowl last night, as there were no openings for subs. Next week I will not have to worry about it! I think I will get my own ball soon; I really like 10# balls, as opposed to the heavier ones that don't work well for someone with carpel tunnel syndrome!

Today I worked very late, trying to catch up on about seven projects I'm juggling. I feel a little bit more in control now; ergo, it was worth it.

It's "Gay Day" at Six Flags New England on Sunday, so you know I'm going. Apparently, the hurricane will not effect our area. More coming following the weekend!

Today's song: Happatai - Yatta (Never heard it? Click here to see the creepy video!!) True bubblegum pop music [from Asia!]

Okay -- someone told me that my BLOG's archive (those dates on the left side of the screen) stopped functioning... I have looked into the problem, and was able to resolve it.

Here's a cute message I got today from a friend at work:
