So, where do you go on your bike?

When riding alone, I tend to go where the spirit guides me... I tend to point my motorcycle in one direction and just go...

When riding with a group (or to a specific destination) it is more regimented...

Tomorrow, I'm going to try to get together with a group and ride. Maybe to P-Town? Maybe to Portland? Who knows...

I need to get my motorcycle license though first.

Get a used bike! My last two motorcycles were used. I bought them at a good price, and got lots and lots of ride time out of them.

If this is your first bike, I reccomend 400cc -> 750cc. Don't go bigger.

See but that's what I can never figure out:

How do you get a bike if don't know how to ride one? And how do you learn to ride one unless you already have one?

Just ask me! ;-) You can take a motorcycle safety class.

Click here: http://www.mma-of-ma.com/, then select LEARN TO RIDE.

I don't think you are in Mass, therefore -- check your LOCAL motorcycle shop for something close to you.

In New York State, getting your licence is the tricky part, as you need a licenced motorcycle driver to go with you to the road test. The motorcycle safety classes offered at many NY colleges provide you with a motorcycle and allow you to take your road test at the end of the class, therefore, when you're done, you leave with a licence!

Cost? About $350.00

I'd rather be the bitch-boy riding on the back. ;)

You're welcome to go for a ride! Just let me know when you're free!

Actually I'm right in Boston so this is perfect, thanks!

I don't know why I assumed you had to already have a bike to take one of these courses. It never occurred to me that they would provide one {{thunks head}}

Off to plan. Thanks again

Cool! Glad I could help!

F.Y.I. You _do_ need your PERMIT first (easy to get), and when you graduate, you _DO_ get your licence upgraded to motorcycle class!
